We are a community of women inspiring one another to embrace and celebrate their true beauty

We exist to reveal truth, transform mindsets and release women worldwide to fulfill their beautiful, God-given purpose.

  • Touching hearts with the hope of God’s love (heart)

  • Transforming thoughts through the life-changing truths of God’s Word (head)

  • Treasuring women through nurturing and celebration (hands)

  • Training women to spread the message of God-given identity (feet)

In 2012 we released We Are Beautiful Magazine, a magazine with true beauty for real girls.  We want to show what beauty really is.  Not a photoshopped, staged, unrealistic and unreachable beauty, but REAL beauty that doesn’t establish standards that the magazines in stands establish and that have led so many girls to low self esteem issues.  Our issues are now available for print and we are working on exciting new sections were our reader’s ideas can be published!

In the summer of 2014 we started our first official internship program in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Through serving and hands on ministry opportunities we have been able to achieve a lot more as a group of women pursuing the vision of helping women realize who they are in Christ while making life lasting friendships to do life with each other. It’s been an amazing journey helping women grow in their callings, relationship with God, abilities and leadership!

We have developed a curriculum for all the women who realize they can be the change for the next generation.  Our curriculum helps women mentor other women in the most real, fun and true way!  In January 2015  we launched our WAB Groups based around this premise and through it we are able to transform minds and hearts through the power of The Word of God! In homes, Coffee Shops or even through the web, women all over the world will be able to have a time of fellowship and growth through our WAB Groups & Curriculum.

Our vision is to be an international community of women inspiring each other to embrace and celebrate our true beauty; therefore, we are expanding to different cities and countries! We Are Beautiful San Diego, CA was launched in August of 2014 and We Are Beautiful Norman, OK launched on November 7, 2014 and shortly following We Are Beautiful Dallas, TX was launched. There are more chapters preparing to launch in more cities an countries!

We travel around the US and the World with the We Are Beautiful Conference which is a two day event where women of all ages come together to laugh, cry and just discover who they really are. Through inspiring messages and fun workshops, we unite generations and inspire them to work together to reach their communities and start movements that will change women’s future and therefore, their community’s future.

We also host fun events in different cities around the US to meet girls who want to be the next women mindset changers helping others see their value. We do a handful of events each year but one we have done includes our annual fashion show where we showcase clothing from local boutiques as well as larger retail stores without putting a limitation on the women modeling them. This opens up the conversation about what we stand for while allowing women from around the world to connect and support our vision.

BeautifullyYouMagazine_page5_image11-273x300An absolutely bizarre night in 2010 made me open my eyes to an issue that is affecting women’s lives around the world.  I was awakened out of my sleep by the sound of a girl crying. I didn’t know where it was coming from so I sneaked over to my roommate’s room to see if it was her. Exasperated after seeing it wasn’t, I went back to my room and started to pray. I don’t know how this happened, but I felt like I was being transported into a room where I found a girl crying desperately.  Suddenly I started feeling everything she was feeling and my heart just couldn’t contain  the overwhelming depression, hurt, and hopelessness.  A dream, vision, or trance, you call it, but it was real and it marked my heart forever.

A few months later after not being able to shake the horrible feeling that transformed into an urgency to do something about that night, I started a research on women and self esteem.  I found out that only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful. Only 11% of girls globally are comfortable using the word beautiful to describe themselves.  72% of girls feel tremendous pressure to be beautiful.  80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful, but do not see their own beauty. And here is a last one: More than half (54%) of women globally agree that when it comes to how they look, they are their own worst beauty critic. I was not the only one who had struggled with this horrible monster of low self esteem.  I found out there were worse cases than mine and suddenly, little by little, I started meeting girls who were going through these things. My heart felt like it would explode knowing that there are so many girls who don’t know how amazingly beautiful, talented, interesting and inspiring they are.  This was it.  I needed to do something about it.

And so the journey started.  No money, no idea of what the heck I was supposed to do, but I did have something.  Anger!  But a good one. The kind of anger that pushes me to fight against all these stupid lies that say that “beautiful women are only the tall, skinny, rich, super-fashionable girls.”  Lies that tell girls that they will never be able to recover from that broken heart that left them thinking they had no worth.  I was so angry! But so passionate!
