Cinnamon Tea // Kylie Hunt

We’re already over 3 weeks into 2019 – How crazy is that?! It always amazes me how fast time flies by. This year, I am working especially hard to add healthy things into my diet. One of the item I have found that makes it easy is: tea.

 

There are so many options with tea and so many ways to prepare it and get a cup full of goodness that just makes you feel wonderful all over.

 

One of my MANY favorite tea ingredients is Cinnamon.

 

Cinnamon contains benefits that make it a healthy choice in my book:

  • antioxidant
  • anti-inflammatory
  • anti-bacterial
  • anti-viral

Plus it tastes and smells great!

 

Making a basic Cinnamon Tea is easy, and it tastes fantastic!

 

Ingredients Needed:

1 Cinnamon Stick

3 Cups of Water

Pot with a Lid

Your Favorite Cute Mug

Raw Honey (Optional)

A Tea Pot (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Break up the cinnamon stick into 3 or 4 small pieces
  2. place in a pot
  3. add 3 cups water and bring to the boil
  4. lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Pour the tea into a tea pot if you’d like (or straight into your mug) and serve

Optional: drink it plain or add raw honey to taste.

 

It’s as simple as that!

 

I personally like to enjoy it while doing my devotions in the morning or in the evenings snuggled up and enjoying a movie with my husband.

It says in Psalm 46:10 –

“Be still, and know that I am God…”
