“…who does that young woman belong to?” Ruth 2:5

Who do you-young woman, belong to?

Who do you claim inheritance with?

Who do you run to in times of despair and happiness?

Who do you belong to?

Daughter-you are mine, you belong to my heart. You belong within my arms of security. I gave you your name-that came from me but what does it mean? Who are you? Who do you see yourself as? Do you know who you are? Do you know WHO’S you are?

Ruth knew who she was- a woman of excellence (Ruth 3:11). She saw herself as both a daughter to Naomi and a daughter to the most-high God. Ruth was able to see her worth despite past despair and pursue a life of servitude. Ruth worked hard and faithfully, patiently working her season to it’s fullest!

“So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

Ruth knew WHO’S she was- the almighty God’s. She put her trust in this knowledge and was joined with Boaz, not because she was young and beautiful, but because she had a worth that no one could deny, not even the women around her. Even they recognized Ruth’s value

(greater than that of seven sons) as she faithfully and graciously served Naomi in her despair.

You daughters, have a worth just as special and unique as Ruth’s, but do you own it? Have you claimed your worth?

You, daughter are everything I created you to be. You have dreams, desires and passions. These belong to you, but they aren’t meant to be sequestered in your soul. These dreams, desires and passions are placed within you to be shared among my people. These dreams that make you so unique are also what call you higher. Don’t settle for less than even the smallest desire in your heart, daughter. You’re worth my everything, now I’m waiting for you to discover this fact for yourself.

Search yourself daughters, search within my beautiful creation and discover your identity.
