Who someone is: the name of a person. The qualities, beliefs etc. that make a particular person or group different from others.
In reading this definition one word stands out- different. People have entrapped themselves within the walls of being different. It’s perceived as a cage when in reality the door is wide open to freedom. God gave you the gift of having an identity different from anyone else. He specifically created you to stand out in the strengths you encompass. You are made to be different.
Blending in not only stunts your own personal growth, but also the growth of those around you. If you continue to try and be like everyone else, you miss the chance to impact those around with the beautiful identity God gifted you.
Daughter fear not, for I know who you are, even if you are blind to what I see. You, beautiful masterpiece, are mine.
For god has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
If you don’t know who you are, search! Seek God until He takes away the fear of unknown identity, of inadequacy, of disappointment and failure.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
When you draw near to God, He draws near to you. Your identity is found in so much more than your hair and makeup and wardrobe. God want’s to redefine His women, His Masterpieces. He wants to free them from their cages and reveal within, their true self.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
Did you read that? NO SHADOW OF SHAME:
In what you’ve done, in what you didn’t do,
In who are and in who you aren’t.
The mistakes of your past that darken your face have met forgiveness.
Look up, expose your face, your mind,
To the warmth of God’s perfect love.
So whatever you’re fearing, whatever is holding you back from allowing your identity to shine through it’s cage, let it go and watch it be delivered into the hands of love.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
