Paul originally, Saul, underwent a major life change when he made the decision to run the race God laid out for him. Instead of letting his flawed past dictate his future decisions, he let his understanding of God’s hand in his life lead him down a pathway designed specifically for him.
By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
Ephesians 3:7-9 NLT
God was kind and chose ME to help the world understand the mystery of God’s Plan. I have struggled with inadequacy, feeling useless and unimportant. But God has chosen little Rachel from South Dakota and has given her a BIG plan to share His word.
Daughters in Christ, it doesn’t matter who you are at this particular moment in time- what matters is that your heart is SOFTENED, ready to be filled with God’s love.
What matters is that your mind is OPEN, ready to be filled with God’s word and promise.
What matters is that your mouth is WILLING to speak and share what you are learning.
What matters is that you, daughter, are WILLING.
Willing to fulfill to the role God has GIVEN you. Daughters- God has equipped each of us with a divinely appointed purpose. YOUR purpose is meant for you and you alone. The daughters around you that you compare yourself to have their own purpose, separate from yours, but which work together as a whole.
…And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith…
Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT
Run your race with PURPOSE
For God has not made his daughters weak. He has enabled us to grow up in mighty, fearful strength and beauty, equipped with the physical and spiritual muscles needed to fulfill our calling, to run our race.
…So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step…
1 Corinthians 9:24-26 NLT
We are all running towards the same finish line, so don’t look to your left or right in envy or disdain, keep your lovely eyes fixed on the love of God.
Keep your feet pointed straight, always running towards the love of God.
Keep your mind sharp and focused on the love of God that empowers each of us to fulfill the plans God has set for us.
I challenge you, fellow daughters, stop comparing and return to the race God has laid out before you.
